Neighborhood groups are local communities of Reclaim Philadelphia members, supporters and interested neighbors where everyone can learn more about our work citywide, build relationships with each other and suggest ways to organize hyper-locally to bring people power to our neighborhoods.

Our neighborhood has been a central hub for Reclaim members and supporters since the start of our organization! In the past year we’ve met regularly to celebrate our local community and build relationships with each other through potlucks, happy hours and neighborhood meetings. In this moment we have shifted our community to online meetings and we will be phone banking weekly to connect neighbors to mutual aid and also to support our local endorsed candidates for state house and senate. We welcome all of our neighbors to find a political home within walking distance of your home.

South Philly west of broad has seen massive gentrification and disinvestment, as our schools are turned into condos and housing prices sky rocket out of our financial capacity. We know that individually we don’t have power to fight the huge problems facing our city and our neighborhoods, but together we can demand what we deserve - a neighborhood that receives full investment - thriving schools, local grocery stores, city services - and also a housing market that doesn’t push us all out. Join us to fight together for our neighborhood!
west/southwest philly
Reclaim’s west/southwest Philadelphia members and supporters have been active since 2017 - engaging in electoral and housing campaigns. Our goal as a group is to further engage neighbors in our local and citywide efforts for housing justice, workers rights and mass liberation. We will meet regularly and continue developing relationships with local community groups to build power for West Philadelphians. West Philadelphia values have always been deeply aligned with Reclaim’s and together we can build power to put those values into action.

Our neighborhood is home to a huge amount of Reclaim members and supporters! In the past year we’ve held happy hours, potlucks and meetings to bring us all together and invite more neighbors to join us. We’ve engaged in local campaigns for education justice and criminal justice reform, joined local park clean up days and (of course) canvassed for our endorsed candidates from Krasner in 2017 through Kendra Brooks last year. As we shift toward virtual community we are holding meetings online with our fellow south Philly groups, phone banking weekly to connect neighbors to mutual aid and also to support our endorsed candidates for state house and senate. Brewerytown/Fairmount
The Greater Fairmount/Brewerytown neighborhood group has been growing quickly since starting a few months ago! Reclaim members and supporters have been reaching out to neighbors through mutual aid efforts and developing relationships with civic associations and community groups. Because our neighborhood has dealt with disinvestment and currently faces gentrification, housing as a human right is a major priority for our neighborhood group. Our group has quickly become the political home for so many neighbors and we are excited to welcome more.
west philly north of market
Reclaim’s neighborhood group in Ward 4 is specifically focused on addressing community violence by building community and seeking restorative solutions that reject mass incarceration. We will be meeting in the coming months to share experiences and create spaces of healing and connection. Local efforts to connect neighbors with resources and mutual aid will be ongoing throughout the COVID crisis. We welcome all neighbors!

Our neighborhood group is focused on building community for members, supporters and neighbors and connecting interested folks to housing, education and mass liberation work. Locally, we are always open to engaging in organizing campaigns to build power for neighbors against large institutions and developers. We had been meeting for potlucks and occasional meetings prior to COVID and will be phone banking weekly to connect neighbors to mutual aid and also in support of our local endorsed candidates for state house and senate.
Fishtown/port richmond
Reclaim’s Fishtown/Port Richmond neighborhood group has been canvassing locally for years to get out the vote for our endorsed candidates and have real conversations with our neighbors about issues like worker’s rights, housing insecurity, the opioid crisis and our toxic schools. We aim to build community power to fight for the change we need to survive and thrive.
Roxborough/East falls
One year in and our neighborhood group is focusing on building a strong working-class community in the lower Northwest! In the last year our members have supported local mutual aid efforts, participated in electoral and issue based canvassing, and are beginning to play a greater role in hyperlocal politics—with so many others contributing to Reclaim initiatives. We hope you can join and contribute to helping tip the balance in the favor of everyday people over the profits of corporations and the rich so our community can survive and thrive! We welcome all neighbors from East Falls, Manayunk, and Roxborough!

Reclaim’s neighborhood group in Graduate Hospital (Ward 30) is one of our newest neighborhood groups! We’re looking forward to meeting our neighbors, compiling a history of the neighborhood and highlighting issues we are seeing in our ward that we may want to work on. We welcome all neighbors West of Broad from Lombard to Washington Avenue!
