City Hall is currently deciding on the city's budget – budgets are moral documents and need to reflect the priorities of our communities, families, and all Philadelphians. Join us on April 24 from 1:30-4pm to pack City Council chambers and share our public testimony for a People's Budget.
On Tuesday, an important vote on Philadelphia's budget will be taking place at City Council. The Mayor’s budget does not include adequate funding for eviction defense, community violence prevention, mobile crisis units, rec center programming and more resources that our communities need. Yet, City Council President Darrell Clarke and other council members are rushing a budget vote earlier than usual without spending time to make adjustments to ensure our communities receive the resources we need!
JOIN US on Tuesday, June 8th from 10-11AM for a Reclaim the Budget Phone Zap! We need to call every single member of City Council to demand:
(1) NO MORE TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH!
(2) A FULLY FUNDED YOUTH POWERED ANTI VIOLENCE AGENDA!
(3) AND A FULLY FUNDED PHILADELPHIA EVICTION PREVENTION PROJECT AND RIGHT TO COUNSEL FOR TENANTS!
