At this general meeting, we’ll focus on our relationship-building efforts. We’ll reflect together on what it means to do collective social change work in our neighborhoods through a short reading, small group conversations, and relationship mapping — sharing which organizations we are involved in within our area and why. We’ll consider how Reclaim’s work aligns with the work of other organizations in the neighborhood, and how we can leverage our existing relationships to be in solidarity with those already working to make life better for us and our neighbors.

For example, what kind of mutual aid would be helpful? Is there development happening that we can lobby the city to stop? We will be hosting a meeting on May 15th at 11 AM to discuss the preliminary draft of the needs assessment and how we can get it out to our neighbors.

We'll be covering the essential structures of the Philly political scene, particularly with the spring primaries coming up in May.
