Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Electoral Field Organizer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing field strategies to engage, mobilize, and turn out voters in key neighborhoods and wards across Philadelphia. This position will play a crucial role in re-engaging existing members, recruiting new members, and building strong volunteer networks to support our electoral and issue-based campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Strategy Development: Work with the campaign team to develop and implement comprehensive field plans that align with organizational goals and priorities.
Volunteer Recruitment and Management: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for canvassing, phone banking, voter registration, and other outreach activities.
Voter Engagement: Conduct door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and other direct voter contact efforts to educate and mobilize voters.
Community Outreach: Build relationships with community leaders, organizations, and other stakeholders to expand our reach and impact.
Data Management: Track and analyze voter contact data to measure the effectiveness of field activities and adjust strategies as needed.
Event Planning and Coordination: Organize and execute voter registration drives, rallies, training sessions, and other campaign events.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on field activities, progress towards goals, and other relevant metrics.
Qualifications:
Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in community organizing, political campaigns, or a related field.
Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and manage volunteers.
Passion: A commitment to social justice, racial equity, and grassroots organizing.
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed, especially during peak campaign periods.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with digital organizing tools, voter databases (such as VAN), and social media platforms.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Local Knowledge: Understanding of Philadelphia’s political landscape and key community issues is a plus.
