MLK Day Reflection: On Being a Good Neighbor w/Wards 15 and 29

Join your Fairmount/Brewerytown neighbors for a reflection on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s piece "On Being a Good Neighbor" during MLK Day of Service. This will be an opportunity to learn together about Dr. King's philosophies and beliefs, which is especially important when many popular narratives about his legacy reduce it to digestible sound bites. We ask that you please read the piece before coming to our meeting (you can find it here: https://kinginstitute.stanford.edu/king-papers/documents/draft-chapter-iii-being-good-neighbor). We will have a facilitated discussion about concepts in the piece and how they relate to our own efforts to organize and care for each other in our neighborhood.
